After successful soccer spells in Hungary and Georgia, Barbadian winger Thierry Gale is set for his biggest career move yet after a transfer bid from Austrian giants SK Rapid Vienna exceeding BDS$1 million was accepted by his Georgian club FC Dila Gori late on Thursday.

The 21-year-old, who hails from Fairy Valley, Christ Church and is the son of former Paradise forward Dwayne Gale, has been in impeccable form for Dila this season, especially in the UEFA Europa Conference League where he scored three goals and registered an assist as Dila exited at the third qualifying round at the hands of Cyprus’ APOEL last week.

A fee of €800 000 or BDS $1.72 million and the offer of a four-year contract until 2027 was enough to prise away the Barbadian who has scored ten goals and notched five assists in all competitions this season and pending a medical and the signing of personal terms, which should be completed early next week. (NM)
