Pedestrian Clyde Squires, 71, of Cliff Cottage, St John, was pronounced dead at the scene of a road accident on Sunday.
He was identified by a close family member.
The fatal collision occurred around 5:50 p.m. at Lodge Road, Christ Church, and also involved a car.
No other injuries were reported.
The car sustained damage to the front fender and bumper and the windscreen was shattered.
