Systems are being put in place to ensure temporary teachers are paid on time.

Chief Education Officer, Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, in a statement on Monday, said the delay was due to the late submission or in some cases, the non-submission of names by July 14.

She said education officials would meet with schools where temporary teachers were not paid today to ensure it does not happen again.
