Two injured in Bayville shooting

Police are carrying out investigations into a shooting incident in which two men were injured at Tonkie’s Sports Bar, St Paul’s Avenue, Bayville, St Michael on Saturday.

Witnesses said that a car pulled up around 9 p.m. and two armed men jumped from it and started shooting, injuring the two men who then fled the scene.

A Bayland, St Michael man in his early 50s returned to the scene to report he had gunshot injuries to his back and groin, while in a chair opposite the sports bar. He was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

The second male victim, in his early 20s also from Bayville, St Michael, received injuries to his right arm and his right knee. He was transported to the QEH by car. (KNB/PR)
