Exactly a year and a day after the start of his trial, police apprehended and escorted accused Jamar Henderson Chandler back before the same judge.

In the meantime, he had been convicted by a jury in his absence while a co-accused was acquitted.

The trial started last October and after initially sending in a sick certificate, 25-year-old Chandler became a no-show at later hearings.

He and another man were jointly charged with violent disorder in that they used conduct which, taken together, would have caused persons present at the scene to fear for their personal safety, on July 1, 2013.  (SD)
