Tropical Wave approaching region

Share post:

The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) is closely monitoring a tropical wave located in the far eastern Atlantic near 28W at 8 a.m. Friday.

Environmental conditions appear conducive for some slow development as it tracks westward.

However, there is some uncertainty in model guidance beyond 72 hours regarding the track and intensity of this system.

Regardless of development, it is expected near our area sometime late next week.

There are currently no watches or warnings for Barbados on this system and the public is urged to stay alert for updates issued by the BMS over the next few days.

Mariners that venture far east of Barbados are advised to monitor the progress of this system over the next few days.

The next update will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. (PR/SAT)
