Nine crews from home and overseas, equalling the biggest entry list for the year, are preparing for the final three rounds of the 2023 R5 Rally Championship presented by First Citizens.

They will tackle the Motoring Club Barbados Inc. Hammertime Double-header Sprint in the north of the island today between Luke Hill, St Peter, and Pickering, St Lucy, with three runs in each direction, starting at 2 p.m.

The action switches to the south-east for tomorrow’s Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Winter Rally from 10.30 a.m., with nine stages. Blackmans to Tappy Pond in St Joseph will run in one direction only, while Society to Cherry Grove in St John will also run in the reverse.

David Williams, vice-president of the Barbados Motoring Federation, noted that after discussions with the Championship promoters, it was decided the BRC Winter Rally will be the last round of the championship. (PR/EZS)
