Bajan charged with drug trafficking in Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica – A Barbadian man, whose name is being withheld by authorities at this time, has been arrested and charged here after he was found attempting to board a flight to London, with two kilograms of cocaine.

He was arrested by detectives from the Narcotics Division on Thursday evening as he tried to board a flight to London.

The police say the package of cocaine, which attracts a street value of over $16 million, was found concealed in his luggage during a search and he was subsequently arrested and charged for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act. (CMC)
