‘Kolij’ style and stroke to twin titles

Harrison College extended their dominance of the Powerade Secondary Inter-School Swimming Championships with their 10th girls’ title on the trot, and 11th consecutive boys’ triumph yesterday at the Barbados Aquatic Centre.

The “Kolij” swimmers recorded comfortable victories in both gender categories, as the girls swept away all challengers to amass a whopping 327 points, ahead of Christ Church Foundation’s 172, and Queen’s College’s 119.

Fourth was The St Michael School on 101.5, while St Winifred’s School rounded out the top five with 89.50

Almost as emphatically as their female counterparts, the HC lads floated way above with 270 points, trailed by Foundation with 213, and The St Michael School team which scored 180.

The QC and Deighton Griffith boys swam into fourth and fifth with 156 and 79 points respectively. (RW)
