Eight Barbadians are out of a job and a businessman is pondering his next move after an early morning fire yesterday.

Popular eatery Uncle Joe’s Bar & Grill was razed to the ground by a blaze which started just before 1 a.m. in Bathsheba, St Joseph.

Owner of the restaurant, Scott Goodman, was counting his losses.

“It’s a significant loss but not only my loss; I haven’t even been to sleep. I don’t know what’s my next move,” the distraught owner said as he stood beside the building’s rubble in the rural eastern community yesterday.

Two fire tenders responded and 14 fire-fighters put out the flames without nearby properties sustaining any damage.
