Run Barbados 5K and 10K Results

The Sleeping Giant 5K and the Casuarina 10K got underway after 4 p.m. on Saturday during the 40th edition of the BTMI/Sportmax Run Barbados event at Barclays Park.

When the curtain came down on Day Two, 15-year-old local boy Luke McIntyre won the men’s 5K while Jalene Cruz of the Cayman Islands captured the women’s equivalent.

Intermittent rain kept the runners cool as Nicholas Romany of Trinidad and Tobago won the gold medal in the men’s 10K and Leidy Manosalva of Colombia earned the top podium finish in the women’s category.
