The wait is finally over.

As early as tomorrow, approximately 45 000 Barbadians will start to receive the promised $1 300 reverse tax credit, as well as income tax returns for the 2022.

A statement from the Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn, said Government had approved $19.4 million for the reverse tax credit for approximately 14 200 people. A further $21.1 million would be paid to 30 427 taxpayers who were due to receive income tax returns for 2022.

Straughn said those who provided banking information should start to see the money reflected on their accounts by Thursday

However, there were 2 808 people eligible for the reverse tax credit who have not given the Barbados Revenue Authority any banking information. Their cheques will be delivered via the Barbados Postal Service.  (PR/SAT)
