Sarah Matthews gave birth to her Christmas ‘miracle’ early yesterday morning at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The 36-year-old welcomed her baby daughter, nicknamed “Bumblebee” because she was so active in the womb, at 4:45 a.m.

She said the reason the little girl was a miracle was due to her birth history.

“My obstetrics history has been a very rough one. I had some previous losses (miscarriages) so this is actually my rainbow, my little miracle,” she said.

“Bumblebee” was born premature at 26 weeks, weighing 790 grammes (about two pounds).  (CA)
