VIDEO: Rowe granted bail on drug and money laundering charges

Tonneil Neshan Rashida Rowe, 21, of Kew Road, Tudor Bridge, St Michael, was charged with possession, trafficking, intent to supply and importation of cannabis, which are alleged to have happened at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

The weight of the suspected cannabis is 30.45 kilogrammes valued at $243 600.

There was also a separate charge of money laundering – $10 599.22 in Barbados Currency.

Rowe appeared before Magistrate Ward-Sargeant in the District ‘B’ Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and was granted bail in the sum of $75 000 with one surety and is schedule to return to court on Tuesday February 20, 2024.

Tonneil Rowe was granted bail when she appeared in court on Tuesday morning on drug and money laundering charges.

Rowe 21, the daughter of MP for St Michael North West Neil Rowe, appeared before Magistrate Carolyn Ward Sargeant in the District B Magistrates’ Court at the Eric Holder Municipal Complex in St Joseph.

She is scheduled to reappear on February 20 and May 7.

She was represented by Michael Lashley KC, Sade Harris and Amoy Guilding Bourne.

Prosecutor Vernon Waithe asked that her passport be kept and the court agreed.
