The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is investigating reports of water outages in some Christ Church districts to determine the source of the problem.
Some of the households were affected on Thursday and the issue continued overnight.
There is ongoing work to replace key infrastructure at the Hampton Station which is taking place according to plan between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each workday and pumping did resume from the facility, as planned, yesterday evening.
Therefore, crews are currently checking the network for signs of a burst main or any other issue that may be causing the outage. Updates will be shared as information comes to hand.
In the interim, water tanker crews will assist persons in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience. (PR/SAT)

A bit sad!!! Two full days and nights without a shower. Have to flush 5 toilets on the premises. Major inconvenience. 4 persons over 80 and one physically challenged.
All the flipping time ! Investigation needed! Chance for persons to drive about and collect overtime They don’t even be too pleased about stopping and giving you water if they do pass.
I’m not without sympathy for those living in the affected areas, however, we’ve just exited hurricane season where we were advised to have stored water in case of an emergency, what became of that water? If we were hit by a weather system akin to Tomas wouldn’t we still be out of water?
What hurricane conditions are we experiencing in January? So glad that you were able to store enough water to drink, bathe, wash dishes, cook and flush toilets in a house full of people for 3 days plus. Your fake sympathy really helps us at this time.
