Rebecca Williams has returned from her first successful three-week outing with the wrestling cultural exchange programme with Central Toronto Wrestling and Beat the Street Canada where she went toe-to-toe with a male provincial champion in her age range.

The 15-year-old Combermere student, who has been wrestling since the age of four, gave her résumé a significant upgrade with her recent trip to the north based on the level of exposure she gained and the intensity of her training schedule, which included two sessions per day.

Head coach of Central Barbados Wrestling and Central Toronto Wrestling, Jay Jordon, also greeted Williams and her family at the airport and explained his involvement in getting her to travel to Canada.
