ST JOHN’S – Guyana Harpy Eagles fast bowler Ronsford Beaton has been suspended from bowling in international cricket for a fourth time.

The 31-year-old’s action was found to be excess of the “level of tolerance for extension of the elbow”, after undergoing analysis at Loughborough University.

Beaton, who played two One-Day Internationals for West Indies seven years ago, was called by match officials while playing for Harpy Eagles in the opening round of the West Indies Four-Day Championship against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in St Kitts last week.

He finished with two for 39 from 12 overs in the game, which ended in a no-result after the last three days were washed out. He will be replaced in the squad by West Indies Under-19 pacer Isai Thorne. (CMC)
