Two people, who have been vocal on different issues in Barbados, have emerged as the senators chosen by Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne.

They are attorney Tricia Watson and businessman Ryan Walters, who both are being sworn in this morning at State House by President, The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason.

Watson, The Nation’s Personality of 2023, has distinguished herself as a fierce advocate on consumer right, particularly on issues relating to the Barbados Light & Power Co. Ltd and its appearances before the Fair Trading Commission,

Walters, who ran as a candidate for the Democratic Labour Party in the last General Election in St Michael North West, has also been speaking out about economic issues and the high cost of living.

More to come.
