The public is advised that due to the Sandy Lane Gold Cup being held at the Historic Garrison Savannah on Saturday, March 2, 2024, traffic on the Garrison Road will be restricted to one way only from Dalkeith towards Hastings, but public service vehicles will travel as normal.

Vehicles will be prohibited from parking on the following roads except for the purpose of setting down or picking up passengers: Garrison Road, Garrison Hill, Dalkeith Road, Dalkeith Hill, Dayrells Road, Bay Street and Hastings Road. Parking will be allowed on the grass areas of the Savannah but not on the sidewalks.

However, drivers are urged not to park in front of any area along the track designated for entry of horses or vehicles onto the Savannah.

A police officer will be on site at the Grand Stand to assist persons who are being dropped off.

The Barbados Police Service thanks the public for their cooperation. (PR/KNB)
