Emphasis will be placed on two parishes this week when the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness continues its fogging exercise.
On Tuesday, March 12, the team will return to the same parish to tackle Ashton Hall, Clarkes Road, Corbin Road, The Whim, Douglas Road, Church Hill Road, Tom Bend Road and surrounding communities.
The following day, Wednesday, March 13, fogging will continue in St Peter at The Risk, Date Tree Hill, Boscobel, Collins, Diamond Corner, Moore Hill, Castle, Gays and neighbouring districts.
The team will travel to St Joseph on Thursday, March 14 to fog Saddle Back Road, Spa Hill, Mellows Hill, Fruitful Hill, Sugar Hill, Chimborazo, Coffee Gully and the environs.
Fogging culminates on Friday, March 15, with a return to St Joseph. Areas to be visited are Airy Hill Tenantry, Braggs Hill, Parris Hill, Wilton Road and surrounding communities.
The programme started in St Peter on Monday, March 11, with fogging at Cemetery Lane, Sweet Home Road, Battaleys Mews, Mullins Terrace, Mullins Road, Gibbs Glade, Gibbs Road, Piedmont Road and the environs.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (PR/KNB)
