Prison sentence ‘not off table’

Compensation does not mean there will not be a custodial sentence.

This was the warning issued to two self-confessed manslayers by the No. 2 Supreme Court.

“Don’t leave here under the misconception that if compensation is paid, that there won’t be a custodial sentence,” Justice Randall Worrell told Keenon Tristan Jason Chase and Michael Shane Olijuan James.

“It may lead to a reduction of the sentence,” he added.
