The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ were re-enacted by members of Calvary Temple Community Church, Grove, St Philip, earlier today.

During a special Good Friday presentation entitled An Awakened Centurion, the actors dramatised the story of how Jesus was arrested and charged for claiming to be the king of the Jews.

They then depicted how he was crucified by the Romans and his resurrection which occurred three days later.

Rev. Andre Symmonds spoke briefly about the season and said it was not about Easter bunnies and bonnets.
