In a world often characterised by turbulence and uncertainty, a beacon of hope often emerges from some of the most unexpected places.

United Nations Ambassador Natassia Wright’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a global influencer and beacon of change exemplifies the transformative power of resilience, determination, and a commitment to making a difference.

Natassia had a rough childhood in the community of Allman Town, Kingston, Jamaica, which was troubled with violence. As a little girl, she lost her dad, who was a police officer and by her teenage years, she had lost her mother. However, despite the hurdles, both materially and emotionally, she remained resilient and kept moving forward.

Years later, this young entrepreneur has changed the generational trajectory of poverty for her family and along with her husband Jamar Wright, who sometimes jokingly calls her “Mr Wright,” are the founder and owners of Mind Food International, a corporate leadership training organisation. To date they have trained thousands of managers, executives and other clients at the corporate level; in government and other sectors across the globe.

At the heart of the company’s mission lies a profound commitment to leadership development and human resource consulting. Mind Food International equips leaders with the skills and insights needed to navigate today’s complex challenges successfully. In commenting on their rise, Natassia in a reflective mode, noted, “We started all this from the confines of our home. We used to just send out inspirational messages and emails called Mind Food and it took off. God is good”. No doubt, what began as a modest endeavour for the couple has since blossomed into a thriving enterprise.

Natassia’s impact transcends borders, as evidenced by her role as a United Nations Ambassador for a non-governmental organisation (NGO).

Her tireless efforts in advocating for socio-economic change have earned her recognition and respect on the international stage. Recently promoted to deputy director general for the Communications Department of a consultative body within the United Nations, Natassia continues to be a driving force for positive transformation.

Despite her numerous accolades and achievements, Natassia remains deeply rooted in her commitment to serve her community. Recognised with the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Leadership in 2019, her dedication to effect change at the grassroots level is unwavering.

From influencing change in various communities to sharing her inspirational journey of triumph over adversity, Natassia’s impact resonates far and wide.

As an ordained international minister and a devoted mother and wife, Natassia embodies the values of compassion, empathy, and service to others.

Her personal journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the resilience of the human spirit. She is the epitome of “from tragedy to triumph”, serving as a poignant reminder that no obstacle is insurmountable and that every setback is an opportunity for growth and transformation.
