Shamar Carter is lamenting the senseless death of her brother Patrick “Joe Joe” Best.

The 32-year-old was in the backyard at a relative’s home in Hilton Row, Princess Royal Avenue, Pinelands, St Michael, on Saturday watching television when bullets pierced the paling, striking Best in the head and arm.

Police said a report was made to District ‘A’ Station around 2:45 p.m. that two men were shot.

Best died while receiving treatment in hospital. The other man, 36-year-old Corey Alleyne, of Princess Royal Avenue, was shot in the leg.

  1. I wish the YOUNG BLACK MEN in Barbados would stop this foolishness.
Every time I comment on what stupid black men are doing to each other; my friends always tell me that it isn’t only happening in Barbados.
I say to them yes, I know.
And that I am more concerned about Barbados more because of its size.
Black people are forever talking about slavery days and how we were robbed!
When black men have been constantly killing each other.
When are black men going to stop killing one another?
Are they trying to erase the black race from the planet?
If this is the case they have a very good head start?
