There was no bail yesterday for the uncle who admitted he indecently assaulted his six-year-old niece on four occasions in a six-month span five years ago.

“There is no way with those facts as outlined there that I can order that he continue out on bail,” Justice Pamela Beckles told the man’s attorney Kyle Walkes yesterday.

“He’s pleaded guilty to [a] very serious offence against a [six]-year-old child and bail is revoked and he is remanded in custody pending the pre-sentence report,” she said.

The Christ Church man was in the No. 5 Supreme Court where he admitted to indecently assaulting the child between January 1 and June 22, 2019. He also pleaded guilty to three counts that “on another occasion” he indecently assaulted the child between the same dates.
