A 63-year-old man is this country’s latest road fatality victim.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Friday, two vehicles collided along the Adams section of the ABC Highway at its junction with Kingsland Road, Christ Church.

Lawmen said one vehicle was travelling west along the highway from the airport towards Kendal Hill while the other motorcar was travelling in the opposite direction.

On reaching the junction with Kingsland Road, the vehicle heading east attempted to turn right onto Kingsland road, when the collision occurred.

Garfield Decourtney Thorpe of Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church, who was the sole occupant of his silver Daihatsu Terios was pronounced dead at the scene.

Occupants of the other vehicle, the driver and his front seat passenger (a female) were taken to Hospital by ambulance for medical treatment. At the time their injuries were assessed by the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) as not serious.

Investigations are ongoing.
