A house fire in St Philip has left two people with burns, one of them a woman in her 80s.

Neighbours at Four Roads say the fire took place around 1 p.m., and the elderly woman, Eudora Mascoll, had to be pulled to safety by one of her grandsons.

“It was very dramatic. I was eating when I hear this crackling noise and when I look, I saw all this smoke. The lady lived there with her son and two grandchildren and I saw her grandson dragging her outside as she can’t walk well. He saved her life,” said Donna Watson.

Watson said she rushed out to help and felt the intense heat emanating from the burning structure.

  1. Glad no one was seriously hurt. Quick recovery wishes to Eudora.
It’s heart wrenching losing everything one has!
However, on the bright side she and her family members are safe.
And that’s the best outcome of the horrific disaster!
