In spite of reservations about what is making some of them ill, teachers are still willing to return to The Lester Vaughan School tomorrow for the start of the Trinity Term.
The school has been plagued by several environmental concerns which have affected both students and teachers, prompting several interventions, including air quality tests and remedial work to address areas of concern.
“Teachers are willing to give the environment a try to see whether or not the issues have been resolved,” said president of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT), Rudy Lovell. “If that is not the case, we will have to inform the ministry, but all efforts will be made by teachers to return to the environment.”
Last Friday, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Joy Adamson, told Starcom Network all public schools were ready to welcome back teachers and students who are due back in the classroom tomorrow and Tuesday, respectively.
