Caribbean Export boosts businesses

BUSINESSES IN Barbados were among the beneficiaries as the Caribbean Export Development Agency, which is based here, facilitated millions of dollars in exports and the creation of hundreds of jobs last year.

This is outlined in the organisation’s Annual Results Report 2023 in which Caribbean Export outgoing executive director, Deodat Maharaj shared that “at the firm level, we were not only able to help our businesses enter new markets including the lucrative European Union market, but also to boost intra-regional trade”.

A significant amount of the progress was facilitated by the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) Regional Private Sector Development Programme. (SC)
