Scores of business associates, Rotarians, horticulture enthusiasts, friends, family and many others whose lives were touched in some way by Jerome “Jerry” Ishmael, turned out at the St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral on Jemmotts Lane, St Michael, Friday, for the funeral service of the well known Barbadian former event planner and producer.

Ishmael’s service as a Rotarian who received the highest honour given by that organisation for his outstanding service, was recounted in a tribute delivered by Rotarian and friend Elvin Sealy who spoke of his dedication and commitment.

Former business partner, Faye Wharton-Parris, with whom he co-founded Premier Events Services (PES), recalled her relationship with the astute businessman and friend with whom she worked in the execution of many a successful  event.

Ishmael  died on April 18 at age 78.
