The Ministry of Transport and Works road marking team will be carrying out work this week starting from today, Tuesday, May 7 on Lower Broad Street, including the taxi stand.

On Wednesday, May 8, the crew will target Prince Alice Highway, Hincks Street and Wharf Road and as a result, sections from Pelican Village to the Treasury Building will be impassable.

The following day, Thursday, May 9, work will conclude at Bridge Street to Fairchild Street through to River Road, only allowing public service vehicles through.

Work will be done between 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. nightly.

Motorists are encouraged to not traverse these areas while the road is closed, as it could endanger the lives of workers and damage the freshly painted road markings. (BGIS)
