Attorney Leslie Haynes SC sworn in as Chief Justice

The post of Chief Justice has officially been filled.

During a ceremony today at State House, Government Hill, St Michael veteran attorney Leslie Haynes SC took the oath before President the Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason.

Haynes succeeds Sir Patterson Cheltenham, who announced his retirement in January.

A former president of the Barbados Bar Association, Haynes received his legal education at the University of the West Indies and at the Hugh Wooding Law School and has practised since 1980.
