Looking to be in good Nick for World Cup

As the International Cricket Council’s Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup draws nigh, a Barbadian-Canadian player is hoping to turn heads on the international stage.

Nicholas Kirton, an all-rounder for the Canadian national team, had a dream of one day playing at the highest level of the game for the West Indies.

Though he played for almost four years for Barbados, the dream of turning out for the regional team did not materialise.

He had a three- to four-year stint playing for Barbados before relocating to Canada and made his debut for his adopted country in 2018. (JB)
