Pedestrian succumbs to injuries at QEH

A 64-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after the latest road accident early Wednesday morning.

He has been identified as George Broomes, 64 years of Bromefield, St Lucy.

He was walking along Bromefield Main Road around 6:25 a.m. when he became involved in a collision with a motor vehicle.

Broomes was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor vehicle, and he was later pronounced dead while receiving medical treatment.

Police are conducting investigations into this incident.

This is the tenth road fatality for 2024. (PR/SAT)
