Share post:

Motorists are advised that Wakefield Road in St John will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, May 23, 2024. This is to allow a crew from the Bath Depot of the Ministry of Transport and Works to prepare the road for paving.

During this time, motorists travelling into St John may divert onto Tappy Pond Road, Natty Browne Hill, or at Four Roads. Traffic leaving St John are advised to use the Claybury/Sweet Vale route. Pedestrian access will be permitted where possible.

MTW thanks motorists for their patience and understanding. (PR/MTW)

  1. That barrier seems relatively new, that means that there was an opportunity to fix that road so that it is less curvaceous and less hazardous. The last time I drove here people actually had to stop so that others driving in the opposite direction can pass. We really need to do better than this…it’s really not that difficult if we truly think about it. A primary school child could see it….
