For the second year women who want to jump for Crop Over and pay homage to one of Barbados’ first female businesswomen have an option to do so with Kontact Band.

Simone Arthur, who owns the section Pampalam Barbados, told Weekend Buzz this will be the second year she will be operating an all-female section.

She said the section will cater to a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 75 revellers of all sizes. During early discussions about the band, Rachael Pringle’s name “just came out of my mouth” and the team then set about doing their research for the costumes and she is pleased with what they are offering revellers.

“Pampalam Barbados’ theme this year is Caribbean Folklore, and Pampalam is ecstatic to announce its Goddess Collection section in honour of the Regal Madam Rachael Pringle. (GBM)
