The park and ride arrangements for the International Cricket Council Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup from Sunday night’s game will be pressed back into operation today without changes.

Member of the transport team in the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Lynda Holder said the sites had been well utilised and the venues would remain unchanged for the 10:30 a.m. anticipated clash of British rivals England and Scotland at Kensington Oval. The park and ride operations go into effect two hours before the start of the match.

“You would have had some teething issues which needed clarification when it first started, with persons being unsure of where to go, but we worked on all those, and we’re sharing more information again, reminding persons of the actual sites, of the fare, and things of that nature. But the response overall was quite positive . . . and that model seems to have worked well so we will use that same model again [tonight] between the Transport Board and the PSVs and taxi associations,” she said.

Holder, the chief operations officer of the Transport Board, also wanted to clear the air over charges of the board having an advantage over privately owned public service vehicles (PSVs) and taxis.
