Two killed in separate incidents

Two people were fatally shot in separate incidents on Wednesday night.

One person was shot dead at Harts Gap, St Matthias, while another was killed at Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael.

Acting Assistant Superintendent Victor Forde in making an appeal for information on the shootings said a group of men were sitting in the area when they were fired upon by assailant(s) around 9:45 p.m.  The three were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries. 

As police officers combed the area for evidence, Forde asked anyone with information to contact the Black Rock Police Station, at (417-7500); the District “A” Police Station at 430-7242 or the Criminal Investigation Department 430-7189.
