Kellie Cadogan’s a firm believer in the power of faith. She has stared adversity and setbacks in the face and triumphed.

This year is the tenth anniversary of her Walkin’ In My Own Shoes Vocal Showcase and she has paired it with a global awards ceremony where students who took the London College of Music Examinations will receive their certificates.

Preparations were in full swing when Kellie spoke with Buzz about the show, scheduled for the Frank Collymore Hall on Sunday. It’s not been an easy clear-cut road to this milestone but the singer who declares she’s a “Jesus girl” on her Instagram is not easily broken.

The excited artistic director wants patrons to know it will be “an excellent show” with a live band, a special feature from vocalist Jeliah Boyce and the Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union’s Chorale. (DS)
