Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 29-year-old male prisoner at the Central Police Station in Bridgetown. The inmate, identified as Kemo Grant of Grazettes Main Road, St. Michael, was found unresponsive in his cell early Sunday morning.

Police officers conducting routine cell checks around 7:35 a.m. discovered Grant motionless. Efforts to secure an ambulance were unsuccessful due to unavailability, prompting the summoning of a medical doctor, who arrived at the scene and pronounced Grant dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
