Police investigating shooting on Sargeant Street

On Sunday night, at about 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting on Sargeants Street in St. John. A 29-year-old man was found collapsed in the roadway, after having been shot.

According to the report, the victim was riding his motorcycle home when he was attacked by two armed men. He sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and neck. Emergency services quickly arrived and transported him to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The two suspects fled the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
