Tropical Depression Two forms near Barbados

The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has announced the formation of Tropical Depression Two, currently located near 9.1N 41.9W, approximately 1,225 miles (1,970 km) east-southeast of Barbados. As of 5 pm on Friday, the BMS is closely monitoring this development.

A Tropical Storm Watch may be issued by Saturday morning, as the system is expected to affect Barbados late Sunday night into Monday. Residents are advised to prepare for potential impacts, including flash flooding and storm-force winds.

A small craft and high surf warning is in effect due to above-normal sea swells. (BMS)
