The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) is continuing to monitor a tropical wave located approximately 1,710 miles (2,750 km) east of Barbados.

As of 4 p.m. today, the wave, distinct from Hurricane Beryl, has an associated low-pressure system.

Environmental conditions over the next few days are conducive to slow development, and a tropical depression may form by Tuesday or Wednesday.

The BMS will provide the next update at 4 a.m. on Monday. Residents are advised to stay informed on potential developments. (BMS0
