Youth ‘need guidance’

Not all young people are lost.

However, the education system has failed some of them and, as a result, they will need better guidance.

Some residents of New Orleans, St Michael, shared that view as they assessed their community.

Several people who declined to give their names or be photographed said, although major crime was not as prevalent as it once was in that area, the youth needed to be fully engaged in more positive activities.

“Everybody in the world is not the same way. You can’t just take a whole set of people and put them in one category and say that is it,” one young man said. (TG)
