Two of Barbados’ party boats sunk during the passage of Hurricane Beryl on Monday.

Both the Jolly Roger and MV Dreamchaser were casualties of the high surf.

Prime Minister Amor Mottley confirmed they were lost, along with several fishing vessels. The island’s fishing industry was dealt a harsh blow.

“We have reports of a number of other vessels that have sunk. Some are already on social media with respects to the Jolly Roger, and I heard a report of the Dreamchaser that sunk to the bottom of the harbour.”

Barbados was under a small craft and high surf warnings ahead of Hurricane Beryl. (SAT)
