One Builders Limited has announced a temporary closure of the bridge at Port Ferdinand in Six Men’s, St. Peter.

The closure is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and will continue until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, weather permitting.

During this period, motorists and pedestrians are advised to seek alternative routes and follow the directions provided by flag men and traffic signs in the area.

Traffic travelling north along Highway 1B from Speightstown will be diverted onto Retreat Road through Maynards, St. Peter. Southbound traffic from Halfmoon Fort towards Speightstown will be redirected onto Colleton Road.

Local access to Six Men’s Village will be available only from the junction at Shermans.

There will be no public access to the beach area at Port Ferdinand adjacent to the old Nikki Beach property during the closure.

Shuttle Service

In response to the disruption of Public Service Vehicle routes, a free shuttle service has been arranged for residents of Six Men’s community. The shuttle service aims to minimize inconvenience and will operate on the following schedule:

  • First Shuttle: Departs at 5:30 AM from Braddy’s Bar to Speightstown Terminal.
  • Last Shuttle: Departs at 12:30 AM (or after the last bus arrival) from Speightstown Terminal to Braddy’s Bar.

The shuttle will run hourly or in alignment with the Transport Board’s schedule.

One Builders Limited thanks the residents for their understanding and patience during this construction period.
