Escaped prisoner recaptured

The escaped prisoner, Mario Austin, has been recaptured and is back in custody. He was found hiding in a house on Combermere Street in The City.

Austin, 31, previously of Blackman’s Tenantry, St. Joseph, was initially in custody for a robbery charge when he escaped from Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) earlier today.

Police thanks the public for their support in this matter.
