This year the event is catering to about 3 000 masqueraders who are jumping with 24 bands.

There are 13 school bands and 11 private bands showcasing their creativity as they have a good time on stage and the road.

The event began around 9:40 a.m. when the first band departed Combermere School and made its way to the stage, which is located by the National Botancial Gardens.
