Revellers have a blast at ‘We Ting’

We Ting won over thousands of revellers who partied at Bushy Park, St Philip, early Sunday morning.

The annual foreday experience began around 1 a.m. and by that time everything was in full flow including the vibes and the music.

For more than seven hours, partygoers jumped and danced around the track to many of the hottest soca tunes emerging for the season.

Along the way, to add to the excitement of the affair, the revellers were doused in water, coloured with paint, dusted with powder and sprayed with foam.

This year, the event also featured an after-party where there were performances by Mole, Brucelee Almightee, Leadipie and Saddis, Tionne Hernandez, Faith Callender and Jordan English.

Several of the patrons also took advantage of the merry-go-round, and inflatable slide at the venue.

One of We Ting’s directors Sonita Alexander said they were pleased with the response.

“For the 50th year of Crop Over, we wanted to try something different, so we did an after-party and we are happy with how it went and with the execution. She added: “We try to switch it up every time. It is really ‘We Ting’, people love the brand and they keep coming back all the time,” Alexander said.
