The National Monument at the Garrison Savannah has become a national disgrace.

However, the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTII) is moving to rectify the situation.

There are broken railings, plaques so corroded the names on them could barely be made out, benches in a state of disrepair, garbage and overgrown grass.
